Revered Dada J. P. Vaswani’s
latest book
“New Education
Can Make The World New” |
 |
|
Hyderabad
(Sind) National Collegiate
Board organized a program on
25th January, 2011 to launch
Revered Dada J. P. Vaswani’s
book “New Education Can Make
The World New” at Meera
Watumull Auditorium, R. D.
National College. The
Honorable guests for the
event were Dr. Rajan Welukar,
Vice-Chancellor, University
of Mumbai; Mr. D. Sivanandan,
Director General of Police
and Dr. Snehlata Deshmukh,
Former Vice-Chancellor,
University of Mumbai. The
event was attended by the
Members of the Board,
Principals, Teachers and
Students from various
academic institutions.
The invocation set
the right tone for the
program. Mr. Kishu
Mansukhani, President,
delivered the opening
address. Then Mr. Anil
Harish, Immediate Past
President, spoke with high
regard on Revered Dada and
his life and praised his
work. Then Dada started off
his extremely stimulating
and enlightening speech. The
audience listened with rapt
attention to Dada. Dada
rightly said that modern
education has sharpened the
intellect but hardened the
heart. While our mind is as
sharp as razor, our hearts
are as cold as ice. We can
remember 2000 math’s
formulas at any given time
but don’t know even one line
of Bhagvat Geeta. This is
because our modern education
has divorced God. Further,
He said the new education
should focus on Character
building, Service,
Cultivation of the soul,
etc. Some practical
suggestions to achieve the
goals were to Decrease the
number of students in the
class, Be conscious of your
thoughts as thoughts become
action and repeated actions
becomes a habit, Appreciate
the efforts of the students,
Awaken the heart and Learn
from the life of great
people. Thereafter Dada
answered the questions of
the curious minds. The
questions were aptly put
forth by Prin. Manju Nichani,
Secretary, before Dada. Some
of the questions answered by
Dada were How to deal with a
difficult co-worker, Why do
bad things happen to good
people, Is it ethical to
consume medicines with non-veg
components. All the
questions were well-answered
by Dada. Thereafter the book
was launched by the guests.
Dr. Rajan Welukar spoke
about the power of thoughts
and to remember that growth
was not development. Mr. D.
Sivanandan said if only
people learned from the
beginning that crime was not
the right path, the world
would be a better place to
live. Dr. Snehlata Deshmukh
reiterated the power of
respect and recognition. The
event ended with a vote of
thanks by Mr. Niranjan
Hiranandani, who was all in
praise for the troubles Dada
takes for us. |
