Welcome to Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board

Where education is not just a degree, but a transformational experience. Our journey began over a century ago, in 1917 when a visionary group led by Dr Annie Besant and Rishi Dayaram Gidumal established D.G. National College. Since then, we have come a long way, overcoming challenges and achieving new heights of excellence.

When the Partition struck in 1947, Principal Khushiram Motiram Kundnani, a refugee forced to relocate, dreamed of building a college in Bombay and with a lot of hard work, dedication and supports from fellow achievers, like Barrister Hotchand Advani and the Sindhi community opened the first college in 1949. Today, HSNC Board not only runs one, but 16 colleges, 8 schools, a university, and 3 institutes, offering a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, international, and skill development programs for close to 45,000 students.

Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.

Aim

The main aim of the HSNC board is to get global recognition as a renowned educational institution that nurtures young minds with knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the future while staying true to the rich Indian ethos and beliefs. We aspire to maintain the highest ethical standards and equip our students to become global citizens who can make a positive impact on the world.

History & Development of the Board

In the early 20th century, a group of visionary individuals came together to establish a college on the banks of the Phuleli in Hyderabad, Sind. The Sind National Arts College, Hyderabad was inaugurated in 1917, with Dr. Annie Besant and Rishi Dayaram Gidumal Shahani as the driving forces behind the institution. The college was later renamed D.G. National College after Rishi Dayaram Gidumal. Despite being the only college in Hyderabad at the time, it flourished and eventually became the Government College, Hyderabad, in the year 1948 and is now upgraded to a University.
